After the success of the Galaxy A71 and its 5G counterpart, Samsung is expected to follow up with the Galaxy A72. The device already appeared in detailed renders as well as a Geekbench listing and the latest leak gives us a look at an aluminum case mold of the phone.
We can see the back will feature a sizeable camera island with five cutouts though we’re only expecting four camera sensors. Based on past reports the main shooter will come in at 64MP and it will be joined by a 12MP ultrawide sensor and two 5MP snappers for macro snaps and depth data. The USB-C port and headphone jack sit at the bottom next to the speaker and microphone cutouts. The power and volume buttons are located on the right-hand side.
Past spec leaks suggest the Galaxy A72 will pack a 6.7-inch display with an embedded fingerprint reader, a Snapdragon 720G chipset paired with 8GB RAM and will boot Android 11 out the box. The 4G version of the A72 is expected to retail around €450-500 in Europe while the 5G variant should come in at the €550-600 mark. We’re expecting the A72 to launch in March in at least four color options including Black, Blue, White, and Violet.
