A house in Adelaide’s southeast is attracting attention after people noticed a “creepy” feature inside.
The home on Station Street in Blackwood boasts three bedrooms, one bathroom in a “classic style” with a “convenient location”.
“The home is probably beyond renovation but an enterprising type may like to restore the classic style,” its listing on realestate.com.au reads.
“More likely is the opportunity to develop the land and profit.”
While the home could be a renovator’s dream people have noticed something odd in one of the bedrooms.
In one of the rooms, there is wallpaper featuring an image of a little girl holding a teddy bear.
It could be considered cute but some people on Instagram found it “creepy”.
“I can’t tell if this is funny or scary,” one man wrote.
Another man added someone should “burn the house” while another called it “spooky”.
“Nope. Not today, Satan,” one woman wrote.
Listing agent Peter Jeffrey from Harcourts Packham told Yahoo News Australia he’s had a number of questions about the wallpaper girl.
He said it’s on a door bolted shut in the bedroom but he’s not sure why it’s there.
“It’s been a family home and the wallpaper is getting a lot of attention,” he said.
“I’ve asked the owners, they’re an older couple who have moved into a nursing home.
“One of them told me: ‘she comes with the house but she doesn’t eat much’.”
Mr Jeffrey says he’s yet to hear back on the story behind the wallpaper.
The house will go under the hammer on November 14.
