As thousands of Guilford County students continue to participate in remote learning, GCS now invites students back into certain school buildings to gain Internet access.On Saturday, GCS opened 63 "Internet Hubs." These are participating elementary, middle, high and specialty schools that allow a limited amount of people inside to use the school's WIFI capabilities. Click the video player above to learn more about the GCS "Internet Hubs."According to the latest U.S. Census data, more than a quarter of households in Guilford County do not have an internet subscription.Students and family members who enter must first complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire and temperature check before being permitted to enter a learning space.Only 30 people are permitted inside each designated space. Families must sit and stay together while adhering social distancing. K-5 grade students must be accompanied by an adult.Students must bring their own devices. No devices are provided at this time as opposed to the GCS Learning Centers.
